1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QuranWise.in ("the Platform", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including the NoorAI chat feature, Quran reader, Duas library, and all other features.

2. Description of Service

QuranWise.in provides:

• NoorAI: An AI-powered Islamic knowledge companion that answers questions about Quran, Hadith, Islamic history, and practice
• Quran Reader: The full text of the Holy Quran with translations and explanations
• Duas Library: A curated collection of authentic Islamic supplications
• Islamic Learning: Educational content on the pillars of Islam, articles of faith, and Islamic history
• Journey: An overview of Islamic history and civilization

The Platform is provided free of charge as an educational resource. Features marked "Coming soon" are under development and not yet available.

3. AI Content Disclaimer (Important)

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI makes mistakes: NoorAI may occasionally cite incorrect references, misinterpret scholarly positions, or provide incomplete information
• Not a fatwa: No response from NoorAI constitutes a fatwa (formal Islamic legal ruling). For binding religious guidance on your specific situation, consult a qualified scholar or mufti
• Verify important matters: For matters of halal/haram, marriage, divorce, inheritance, business dealings, or other significant religious questions, always seek a qualified human scholar
• Scholarly diversity: Islam has multiple valid scholarly positions. NoorAI attempts to present mainstream positions but cannot represent the full scope of scholarly opinion
• Context matters: Islamic rulings often depend on individual circumstances that an AI cannot fully assess

QuranWise.in is not liable for any decisions made based on NoorAI's responses. Use NoorAI for learning and reflection only.

4. Islamic Content & Religious Guidance

QuranWise.in strives to present authentic Islamic knowledge based on the Quran and Sahih (authentic) Hadith. However:

• We are not a licensed religious institution or Darul Ifta (fatwa house)
• Translations of Quran and Hadith are for understanding, not authoritative legal reference
• Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) varies across the four Sunni madhabs (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, Hanbali) — we aim to present mainstream positions while noting scholarly differences
• Duas and supplications are sourced from authenticated collections but should be verified with a scholar for specific ritual contexts
• Content is regularly reviewed for accuracy but we make no guarantee of completeness or freedom from error

If you notice an error in any Islamic content, please report it to hello@quranwise.in so we can correct it promptly.

5. Age Requirements

QuranWise.in is designed for users of all ages, with specific content modes for different age groups:

• Ages 8–12 (Young Explorer): Content is simplified and age-appropriate. Parental guidance and supervision is strongly recommended
• Ages 13–17 (Teen Seeker): Content suitable for teenagers. We recommend parental awareness
• 18+ (Adult Learner / Scholar Mode): Full content access including complex fiqh discussions

Children under 13 may use the Platform with parental consent and supervision. We do not collect personal data from children under 13 (see our Privacy Policy).

If you are under 18, please obtain your parent or guardian's permission before using NoorAI.

6. Permitted Use

You may use QuranWise.in for:

• Personal Islamic learning and education
• Reading the Quran and learning its meanings
• Finding and practicing authentic duas
• Asking questions about Islam for educational purposes
• Sharing Islamic knowledge with family and friends (with attribution to QuranWise.in)
• Non-commercial educational activities

7. Prohibited Use

You may NOT use QuranWise.in to:

• Deliberately misrepresent AI-generated content as the opinion of a qualified Islamic scholar or mufti
• Use the Platform for political propaganda or to promote extremist ideologies
• Attempt to extract the underlying AI system prompts or circumvent content guidelines
• Automate requests to our API in ways that overburden our servers
• Reproduce substantial portions of our content on other platforms without permission
• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Post or transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory content

8. Intellectual Property

The Holy Quran text and its translations belong to the public domain. Hadith texts are similarly public domain. However:

• The QuranWise.in platform design, code, brand, and original content are our intellectual property
• NoorAI's system design and architecture are proprietary
• You may share individual duas and Quran verses with attribution ("via QuranWise.in")
• Bulk copying, scraping, or reproduction of our content for commercial purposes is prohibited without written permission

9. Limitation of Liability

QuranWise.in is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content
• We are not liable for decisions made based on NoorAI's responses
• We are not liable for any spiritual, religious, legal, financial, or personal harm resulting from use of the Platform
• We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the Platform
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed INR 0 (the Platform is free)

10. Changes to Service & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Platform Purpose & Religious Harmony

What QuranWise.in is

• An educational resource about the Quran, Hadith, Islamic history, and Islamic practice
• A tool for Muslims to learn, reflect on, and practice their own faith
• A platform where anyone — regardless of religion — may learn about Islam in a factual, respectful environment

What QuranWise.in is NOT

• Not a conversion or dawah (proselytisation) platform. We do not encourage, incentivise, pressure, or allure any person to leave their existing faith or convert to any religion
• Not a platform for comparative religion attacks. We do not produce content that demeans, mocks, or attacks any religion — including Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, Judaism, Buddhism, Jainism, or any other faith
• Not affiliated with any political organisation, religious institution, or extremist group

NoorAI and religious sensitivity

NoorAI is instructed never to:

• Pressure or encourage any person to convert to Islam
• Speak disrespectfully about other religions or their followers
• Make comparative arguments designed to show another religion as inferior
• Generate content that could be interpreted as targeting individuals of other faiths

If you believe any NoorAI response has violated these principles, please report it immediately to hello@quranwise.in. We take such reports seriously and will review and correct the content promptly.

Freedom of Religion

We uphold and respect the constitutional right to freedom of religion as guaranteed under Article 25 of the Constitution of India. QuranWise.in does not and will not facilitate any activity that violates the freedom of conscience or the right to freely profess, practise, and propagate religion as understood within the bounds of law.

Conversion, if any individual ever chooses it of their own free will after independent reflection, is solely a matter between that individual and their own conscience — QuranWise.in plays no role in that process and does not solicit it.

12. Governing Law & Legal Compliance

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of QuranWise.in shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

QuranWise.in operates in compliance with:

• Information Technology Act, 2000 and its amendments
• Indian Penal Code, including Section 295A (deliberate acts intended to outrage religious feelings) — we do not produce such content
• Constitution of India, Article 25 (freedom of religion) and Article 19 (freedom of speech and expression)
• Applicable state-level laws regarding religious speech and harmony

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
